They said: “Did we not forbid thee all mankind?”
They said, ‘Did we not forbid you to play host to anyone at all?’
They said: "Did we not forbid you from outsiders"
They answered, "Haven't we forbidden you to entertain any kind of people (who are strangers)?"
They said: “Did we not forbid thee all mankind?”
They said: "Did we not prohibit you from the world?"
They said, "Did we not forbid you from outsiders?"
They said, "Did we not enjoin you from contacting anyone?"
"Did we not restrain you, " they said, "from (entertaining) creatures from the outside world?"
They said, "Have we not forbidden you from people?"
They answered: "Have we not forbidden thee to any kind of people?"
They said; Have we not forbidden you from (entertaining) anyone?
They replied: "Did we not forbid you again and again to extend hospitality to all and sundry?"
"Did we not forbid you", they said "to entertain people in your house and defend your principles!"
They said: "We have already told you not to talk about morality with us?"
They (people of the city) said: "Did we not forbid you from entertaining (or protecting) any of the ‘Âlamîn (people, foreigners and strangers from us)?"
They said: "Did we not forbid thee (to speak) for all and sundry?"
They responded, "Have we not forbidden you from protecting anyone?"
They said, "Had we not forbidden you from (being the guardian of) the whole world?"
They answered, ‘Have we not told you not to interfere anyone else?’
They said, 'Have we not forbidden thee all beings?'
They said, 'Have we not forbidden thee everybody in the world?'
They said, "Have we not forbidden you to speak for all in the world?"
They said, "Have we not forbidden you (to entertain all) men?" (Literally: the worlds)
They answered, have we not forbidden thee from entertaining or protecting any man?
They said (to Lut): "Did we not forbid you to host and entertain any of the righteous (away from us)?"
They said, `Have we not told you not to entertain (all sorts of unknown) people?'
They said, ‘Did we not forbid you from strangers?’
