And in the earth are tracts adjacent to one another; and gardens of grapevines, and crops, and date-palms with roots shared and independent — watered with one water; and some of them We make exceed in food others; in that are proofs for people who reason.

وَفِي الْاَرْضِ قِطَعٌ مُتَجَاوِرَاتٌ وَجَنَّاتٌ مِنْ اَعْنَابٍ وَزَرْعٌ وَنَخ۪يلٌ صِنْوَانٌ وَغَيْرُ صِنْوَانٍ يُسْقٰى بِمَٓاءٍ وَاحِدٍ۠ وَنُفَضِّلُ بَعْضَهَا عَلٰى بَعْضٍ فِي الْاُكُلِۜ اِنَّ ف۪ي ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
Wafee al-ardi qitaAAun mutajawiratunwajannatun min aAAnabin wazarAAun wanakheelun sinwanunwaghayru sinwanin yusqa bima-in wahidinwanufaddilu baAAdaha AAala baAAdinfee alokuli inna fee thalika laayatinliqawmin yaAAqiloon

    In the earth there are diverse regions side by side and gardens of grapes and cultivated fields, and palm-trees sharing one root and others with individual roots, all watered with the same water. And We make some things better to eat than others. There are Signs in that for people who use their intellect.
