“Kill Joseph, or banish him to a land; the face of your father will pass to you — and be you after it a righteous people,”
Kill Yusuf or expel him to some land so that your father will look to you alone and then you can be people who do right. ’
"Kill Joseph or cast him in the land, then your father's favour will be all yours, and after that you will be an upright people. "
One of them proposed, "Let us slay Joseph or leave him in a distant land. Then your father's favor will be all for you, and your affairs will be adjusted right for you."

(One said): Kill Joseph or cast him to some (other) land, so that your father's favour may be all for you, and (that) ye may afterward be righteous folk.
So either kill Joseph or cast him into some distant land so that your father's attention may become exclusively yours. And after so doing become righteous."*
They settled the question and pronounced judgment: "Remove Yusuf out of the way" they said, "either by death or by taking him away to some distant land, and thereafter you stand in lowliest plight repentant to Allah of your evil deed and characterize yourselves with righteous living. "
"Let us kill Joseph or somehow get rid of him; then our father will notice us. We will then chose righteousness.
"Kill Yûsuf (Joseph) or cast him out to some (other) land, so that the favour of your father may be given to you alone, and after that you will be righteous folk (by intending repentance before committing the sin)."
"Slay ye Joseph or cast him out to some (unknown) land, that so the favour of your father may be given to you alone: (there will be time enough) for you to be righteous after that!"
Kill Joseph or cast him out to some ˹distant˺ land so that our father’s attention will be only ours, then after that you may ˹repent and˺ become righteous people!"
Let us kill Yūsuf, or throw him at some place on earth, and thus your father’s full attention will be devoted for you alone, and after doing that, you may become a righteous people.’’
, ‘Kill Joseph or banish him to another land, and your father’s attention will be free to turn to you. After that you can be righteous.’
Kill you Joseph, or cast him forth into some land, that your father's face may be free for you, and thereafter you may be a righteous people. '
'Slay Joseph, or cast him in some land; that your father's face may be free for you, and ye may be, after he is gone, a people who do right. '
When they said, "Surely, Joseph and his brother are dearer to our father than we are, though we are many. Verily, our father is in obvious aberration (wandering in mind).
Kill Yûsuf, or banish him to some (other) land, that your father's face may be free (Literally: (void) and empty; i. e., your father will have time for you or pay you more attention (Yûsuf ouy of the way) for you, and even after him you will be a righteous people."
Wherefore slay Joseph, or drive him into some distant or desert part of the earth, and the face of your father shall be cleared towards you; and ye shall afterwards be people of integrity.
"You kill Yusuf (Joseph) or throw him (away) into some (unknown) land, so that your father’s favor (love) will be given to you alone: After that, you become righteous!"
`So you (had better either) kill Joseph or remove him to some distant land. (In this way) your father's favour will be exclusively yours. After that you can (repent and) become a pious people.'
‘Kill Joseph or cast him away into some land, so that your father’s love may be exclusively yours, and that you may become a righteous lot after that. ’
