Said he: “Appoint thou me over the storehouses of the land; I am a knowledgeable custodian.”
He said, ‘Entrust the country's stores to me. In truth I am a knowing guardian.’
He said: "Make me keeper over the granaries of the land, for I know how to keep records and I am knowledgeable. "
Joseph replied, "Place in my charge the treasury of the State. I shall be a competent custodian." (Now that he could personally handle the oncoming drought).
Said he: “Appoint thou me over the storehouses of the land; I am a knowledgeable custodian.”
He said: "Appoint me over the granaries of the land, for I know how to keep records and I am knowledgeable."
He said, "Make me keeper over the granaries of the land, for I know how to keep records and I am knowledgeable."
He said, "Make me the treasurer, for I am experienced in this area and knowledgeable."
"Appoint me over the granaries of the land, " (he said); "I shall be a knowledgeable keeper. "
said, "Appoint me over the storehouses of the land. Indeed, I will be a knowing guardian."
replied: "Place in my charge the store-houses of the land; behold, I shall be a good and knowing keeper.
He said: Set me over the storehouses of the land. Lo! I am a skilled custodian.
Joseph said: "Place me in charge of the treasures of the land. I am a good keeper and know my task well."
There, Yusuf said: "Now, O king, that you have faith in me, then entrust ''me with the granaries and the storehouses of the agricultural and natural products of the land and with the treasuries of the realm, and you shall find me trustworthy and capable of guarding the interests of the kingdom and knowing how to manage and administer affairs cleverly"
Joseph said: "make me your treasurer as I am knowledgeable in this domain. "
said: "Set me over the store-houses of the land; I will indeed guard them with full knowledge" (as a minister of finance in Egypt).
(Joseph) said: "Set me over the store-houses of the land: I will indeed guard them, as one that knows (their importance)."
Joseph proposed, "Put me in charge of the store-houses of the land, for I am truly reliable and adept."
He said, "Appoint me to (supervise) the treasures of the land. I am indeed a knowledgeable keeper."
Joseph said, ‘Put me in charge of the nation’s storehouses: I shall manage them prudently and carefully.’
He said, 'Set me over the land's storehouses; I am a knowing guardian. '
He said, 'Place me over the treasures of the land; verily, I will be a knowing keeper. '
And the king said, "Bring him (Joseph) to me. I will give him a special position with myself." And when he had spoken with him he said, "Verily, to-day you are with us in a well established place of trust."
He (Yûsuf) said, "Set me over the lands treasuries. Surely I am constantly-persevering, (i.e., guardian) constantly-knowing."
Joseph answered, set me over the store-houses of the land; for I will be a skilful keeper thereof.
(Yusuf) said: "Place me to (care for) the store-houses of the land: I will truly guard like one who knows (their importance). "
(Joseph) said, `Appoint me over the treasures (- granaries and stores) of the land, for I am a careful keeper and possessed of knowledge (of the Job). '
He said, ‘Put me in charge of the country’s granaries. I am indeed fastidious well-informed.’
